"Compassion for ourselves gives rise to the power to transform resentment into forgiveness, hatred into friendliness and fear into respect for all beings."

I have been practicing and studying the science and art of yoga since 2008 and became a certified Iyengar teacher in 2017. I entered the Teacher training program under the direction of Robin Popinski and Leslie Hogya (Iyengar Yoga Center CA) Leslie was the past president of the Iyengar association of Canada and serves as an assessor for the IYAC/AYIC. I continue to study with senior teachers.

I am blessed with support from students, peers and my teachers. My passions include hiking and biking in the Olympic national parks.

I find yoga to be a blessing for the body, mind and spirit and can't imagine life without it. Like Lois Steinberg, who is one of the world's most experienced Iyengar yoga teachers, I started practicing yoga with a PBS television show: Lilias, Yoga and You.

When Lilias explained how important it was to have an in-person teacher (and oh how right she is!), in my late twenties I headed to the YMCA. I was incredibly fortunate that an Iyengar yoga teacher was the instructor there and have been hooked ever since. (For all you beginners out there: I could barely touch my knees.)
